Animal
of SIM (7/16/01 7:07:20 am) Start of a new beginning...
Animal
crept in the darkness paying special heed not to disturb even the
littlest of beasts to allow someone to be aware of his presence. He
was still wearing the tribal paint he donned in the swamps far south
of the Dungeon Destard, a fitting outfit for what it was he knew he
had to do tonight, pure savagery.
The house
he watched over tonight was on a small hill overlooking the Shrine
of Spirituality. A beautiful sight it was for sure, he could see why
its owner had chosen such a spot. It was relatively non-descript except
for the roses growing in front of them, flourishing was more like
it. Their bright red color almost illuminated even the night sky.
He bided
his time to wait for the lamps inside to go out. What was just an
hour seemed like an eternity. Finally it went dark inside and all
had been quiet for some time now. It was time to act so he slowly
approached the home.
Animal
chanted a few words and the door opened with the magic. The décor
was almost as plain and simple as the outside. In the corner was that
which he sought, as he silently shifted across the wooden floor towards
it. Under his breath he said a silent prayer, “Bless me Maiden for
what I am about to do, for if I am right it is the only thing that
shall save her soul.” With that he pulled a set of robes hued a dark
and heavy blue color, and looked upon the object for which he came.
“KAL
VAS CORP”, he chanted with a loud boom. The birds and wildlife that
had missed Animal silently creep into the forest and house now were
well aware of his presence, unfortunately it was too late and the
first step of the prophecy had occurred.
Walking out, Animal looked back at the house with a tear in his eye.
Eyeing the roses that donned the outside, he was slightly startled to
find them dead and black as the night sky. Animal was saddened by his
actions today, but knew it his duty to protect the Maiden and the Sisterhood…
at all costs.
With
that, Animal folded his robe back into his backpack and willed his
ethereal mount to show. Today the light would not shine all day; a
piece of its soul had been removed from the lands. Animal rode away,
turning back for a second to say goodbye to an old friend, “You have
served her well old crone, go and be with her.”
Veil
(7/17/01 3:04:54 am) The threads
It was a superb summers night, the breeze from the bay lightly ruffled
the edge of Veil's nightshift as she kneeled atop the Embassy. As was
her habit of late she cast her mind out checking each thread and spark
of those she loved. Lightly she caressed each one verifying that all
was well.
The weave shuddered and as she "watched" the threads of three moved.
She could only observe in disbelief as the old was cut and the new slid
into it's place in the weave.
Suddenly the night was not as calm. Of the three roses in her shrine
the right one turned black for a moment until the new force renewed
it. The wind from the bay was not as inviting and she was afraid,
Life had taught her that forcing prophesy could backfire on those unaware.
Knowing she could do nothing from where she was to stop the events unfolding
she wept instead.
A new
Guardian had been created.

Watching
my big sister Celes try on this outfit that Avalon had given many
days ago, I came to the realization that her mind had aged a far greater
timeline then her body ever will. Still the look of innocence in her
eyes remains.
"How
does this look Erin?", she asked of me. A few days ago I would have
said some sort of sarcastic remark just to hurt her feelings, but
now things are different. I guess I am different. There were many
times that I would come out to the hunts the Sisterhood would have
and no-one would realize that I was there. I would hide, stealth around,
re-appear behind someone's back, and then hide again. I learned a
lot of things during those times, including the fact that it was Celes,
only a girl herself, guiding me through my life until I was able to
care for myself. "That outfit fits you well sis", I told her.
This
is when she started her ever so famous 'smile' but half way through
it her whole body cringed and she fell to the floor. I ran to her
side asking her what was wrong but unfortunately I already knew. The
last time I saw her like this was when our parents passed away...
